Meet Marielle

Raised in the restaurant business, a sense of service runs in Marielle’s blood. Her east coast upbringing exposed her to diverse international and regional cuisines, including early work experiences in Washington DC’s refined restaurant scene. From there, Marielle pursued formal hospitality studies in Italy, before eventually finding her calling in the sourcing and cultivation of high-quality ingredients.

Upon returning stateside, Marielle apprenticed at a culinary herb farm in Kansas, where she gained an appreciation for the subtle nuance—or bold pops of flavor—that fresh and unusual herbs can bring to a dish. She then relocated to Denver, overseeing the aquaponics program for The Growhaus, a nonprofit community farm. This latter role entrenched Marielle in the city’s rapidly evolving culinary scene, as she forged and developed relationships with some of Denver’s finest chefs and restaurateurs. It was there that she first founded A Notte, gaining a noteworthy following of mission-driven organizations, nonprofits and private patrons as culinary event clients.

In 2020, Marielle had the opportunity to move closer to family with a role at her sister’s farm, Be Golden, in Berne, New York. From tending to livestock, to cultivating perennial and vegetable gardens, this work provided the opportunity to connect with a wide range of growers, artisans and chefs throughout the region, inspiring a second iteration of A Notte. Relaunching the brand in 2022, Marielle looks forward to blending her background in event planning and restaurant service with a renewed focus on regional farming, crafting one-night-only experiences for like-minded clients.
